I recall as a child going with my Dad to our local train station to watch the choo-choos go by. I guess that is what started my interest in train watching. We have acquired, over the years, a number of dampf loks and a turntable which didn't really fit in with our modern layout, so we decided to start a second, smaller layout, centering on later Era II and Era III. I realize that there were electric loks in this period, but we decided to not model any catenary and only run steam and diesel.
